Business meeting
We will have a short short business meeting to elect officers for the coming year and to report on the status of dues payments and finances. The current officers have agreed to serve another term. As always, the floor will be open for other nominations during the meeting.
As a reminder, dues are $6 per year. The Treasurer can accept cash or check at the meeting. Those wishing to use PayPal to pay their dues may do so at this link. Anyone needing assistance with dues should contact any of the officers. Thanks to an anonymous donor, we have a special account, the Lafferty Fund, to help those needing assistance with dues.
Activites
As always, we start with the ritual questions: Did you sell anything? Publish? Get paid? Submit? Get a good Rejection? Write? Have a GPIC-related item or other news? Bring anything to read?
After the questions, members will be invited to read from their recent works. In order that as many as possible have an opportunity to share their work, please try to keep your readings to thirty minutes or less. At a normal reading speed, this translates to roughly four thousand words. At most meetings, there is not time for everyone to read, so we try to give priority to those who have gone longest withtout reading.
Refreshments are ongoing during the proceedings. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the refreshments, but no one is required or to do so. The host, as usual, will provide water, ice, plates, flatware, plastic cups, and napkins. I anticipate making cupcakes.
